Margarita Balanas is a Latvian cellist and conductor recognised for her compelling artistry and innovative contribution to classical music. Margarita is the founder and conductor of the ANONIMI Orchestra and Charity. She is the first Latvian female symphonic orchestra conductor, and served as Assistant Conductor to Paavo Järvi at the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich during the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons. She has conducted the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Orquestra do Algarve, the Royal Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra, Fidelio Orchestra, Glover-Edwards Symphony Orchestra, Baltic Sea Philharmonic, and the Järvi Academy orchestras. Her current season includes conducting debuts with Das Sinfonieorchester St. Gallen and the Argovia Philharmonic, alongside performances with ANONIMI.

She has appeared at major international venues including Carnegie Hall, the Berliner Philharmonie, Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall, Sydney Opera House, Foundation Louis Vuitton, and L’Auditori Barcelona. As a soloist, she has performed with the Munich Philharmonic, Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and participated in festivals such as the Dresdner Musikfestspiele, Piatigorsky International Cello Festival, International Cello Festival Shanghai, Moritzburg Festival, and Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier.

A recipient of the Latvian Grand Music Award and a Decca Classics recording artist, she is regularly featured on Classic FM, BBC Radio 3, and ABC Classic, and has collaborated extensively with Anne-Sophie Mutter and the Mutter Virtuosi in international tours and recordings.

Laura Peribañez Artero is a Barcelona‑born cellist and arts entrepreneur, recognised for her dynamic international performing career and her expertise in planning and producing high-profile concerts and festivals. Combining her artistry with strategic vision, she has curated and organised major events across Europe and beyond.

She made her concert debut at L’Auditori de Barcelona at the age of nine and has since performed extensively across Spain and Europe. Her performances have taken place in venues including the Cadogan Hall (London), Palau de la Música Catalana (Barcelona), the Palace of Nations (Geneva), Flagey (Brussels) and Foshan Grand Theatre (China).

As an arts entrepreneur, Laura has developed and managed high-profile concerts and festival programming internationally, demonstrating strategic planning, project leadership, and audience engagement. Her work is supported by the Institut Ramon Llull, Catalan Government, Instituto Cervantes and the Spanish Embassy in the UK. Laura joined ANONIMI Orchestra & Charity in 2024.

Laura is a Royal College of Music Artist Diploma graduate and has been recognised with multiple awards, including the Banco Sabadell Prize awarded by the British Spanish Society.

Dedicated to education, Laura has served as a professor with the JOCG Orchestra in Spain since 2021 and joined the faculty of the Chamber Music by the Lake Festival in Blonay, Switzerland.
